THE OXIDISING AIR VALVE
This valve is positioned on the top part of the front panel above the glass and covers important functions. The oxidising air is lapped up against the glass and so when it enters into the heat chamber it is already heated as it follows its obligatory route.
This helps keep the glass clean for longer and creates higher productivity as the firewood burns slowly and gradually.
At the end of combustion, a layer of hot embers is left, perfect for roasting or cooking on.
If the hot embers are not utilised, they will continue to produce heat until they are slowly and completely exhausted. Thanks to the presence of refractory bricks, it is possible to exploit the oven-effect of the system, as the heat accumulated during firewood combustion will guarantee domestic hot water supply for at least 3-4 hours.
